L.A. Metro At OMP to Promote LIFE Program to A.V. Residents

On Wednesday, August 17, 2022, L.A. Metro will be at Sgt. Steve Owen Memorial Park Transit Center, holding a pop-up promotional event for the L.I.F.E. Program, from 7:00am to 12:00 NOON. The address is 43011 10th Street West in Lancaster.

Metro’s Low-Income Fare is Easy (LIFE) Program reduces the cost of transit for low-income riders. The program offers fare discounts that can be applied toward the purchase of weekly and monthly transit passes on AVTA, Metro, and any LIFE participating transit agencies, or 20 free rides on any one of the participating transit agencies. Those that sign up can get “90 days of free rides.”

To better understand qualifications, attend this pop-up promotional event. To apply, please have the following:
  • Photo ID
  • Proof of income:
    • You have the option to self-certify or provide proof of income (Medi-Cal, EBT, any proof of public benefits, Social Security award, check stub, tax return)
    • If proof of income is unavailable, complete self-certification in section 3 of LIFE application
