August 31, 2020 Service Changes Postponed Until Further Notice
Due to the ongoing and ever-evolving coronavirus pandemic and the resulting decline in ridership, AVTA is postponing the service changes scheduled for August 31, 2020. The increases to frequencies, route changes, and late night on-request services will be delayed until further notice. Commuter route changes planned for August 31, 2020, will also be delayed until further notice.
Community outreach and public discussion regarding these changes will continue as AVTA seeks to gain a deeper understanding of the Antelope Valley community's transportation needs and how this current crisis may have modified our riders' needs and preferences. The current commuter reduced schedule is as follows. AVTA will continue to provide 11 total runs for routes 785, 786, and 787, Monday through Friday.

Let’s talk mobility! - Latest News looking forward to August 31, 2020
Find out more about the Antelope Valley’s Strategic Mobility Plan, Mobility Forward. In January 2019, we launched this project to develop a plan for enhancing mobility and accessibility in the Antelope Valley.
Through the project process, which included data collection and analysis, identifying needs and opportunities, and talking to riders, the AV community, and many local stakeholders and community groups, we developed service strategies and recommendations to improve mobility. By combining new ideas with what’s already working well in AVTA’s system, we developed a refreshed network to better serve the needs of the AV and helps current riders get to where they need to go faster and more directly while expanding travel options for the AV community.
